6 Steps to Legal Clarity

No sign-up required to start. Just describe your situation in plain language.

1
Step 1 — Describe

📝 Tell Us Your Legal Situation

Write your problem in plain Hindi, Hinglish, or English — just like you'd explain it to a friend. You don't need to know any legal terminology. Examples: "My landlord isn't returning my security deposit", "I was fired without notice", "The builder hasn't given me possession of my flat."

Step 2 — Contextual Questions

❓ Answer a Few Smart Questions

Based on what you wrote, SatLegal asks 3–6 targeted follow-up questions to understand your situation better. For example: Are you Hindu or Muslim? Is this a residential or commercial property? Have you already sent a legal notice? These answers significantly improve the accuracy of the law mapping.

Step 3 — Law Mapping

⚖️ See Which Indian Laws Apply

Our AI engine analyses your situation against 78 Indian laws and ranks them by relevance. Each law shows you the applicable act, key sections, urgency level, and limitation period. The top 3 most relevant laws are pre-selected. You can add or remove laws from the analysis.

Step 4 — Case Strength

📊 Assess Your Case Readiness

Answer assessment questions specific to your selected laws — such as whether you have a written contract, whether you have witnesses, or whether you've already made a complaint. SatLegal calculates your case strength score (as a percentage) and tells you how strong your legal position is before you spend money on a lawyer.

Step 5 — Document Checklist

📎 Know Which Documents You Need

SatLegal generates a prioritised document checklist for your specific case. Critical documents (without which your case cannot proceed) are flagged separately from supporting documents. This saves you valuable time before your first lawyer meeting.

Common Questions

Is this a substitute for a lawyer?
No. SatLegal is an educational and informational tool. It helps you understand which laws apply to your situation and how strong your case may be, so you're better prepared before meeting a lawyer. It does not constitute legal advice and does not create a lawyer-client relationship.
Is my information private and secure?
Yes. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We never share your case details with third parties. Your analysis is private to you.
Can I write in Hindi or Hinglish?
Yes. Our engine understands Hindi, Hinglish (Hindi written in Roman script), and English. You can write in any combination, e.g. "mere landlord ne deposit return nahi kiya 6 mahine se."
How accurate is the law mapping?
Our law engine covers 78 major Indian laws with thousands of keyword patterns. It achieves over 99% accuracy on our regression test suite of 1,000 scenarios. However, edge cases and highly specific situations may benefit from additional lawyer review.
What if I'm not satisfied with the report?
If the report doesn't match your situation or if we couldn't identify applicable laws, contact us at support@satlegal.in for a review. Refunds are handled case by case within 48 hours.
How is the ₹2,499 consultation conducted?
After payment, you'll be asked to book a time slot. A verified Indian lawyer matched to your case type will call you at your chosen time for a 30-minute session. They will also draft a legal notice if needed as part of the consultation.
